Wellkids has been ROCKIN'!

Under the umbrella of our church, the vision for Wellkids is to create relationship, give, serve, and someday build an indoor ball-pit or climbing gym. Here's a list of the stuff Wellkids do and what it looks like:
First, the Quiet Room: This room is for nursing mothers and babies. We have a live audio feed from the 'sanctuary' and you’re welcome to grab a comfy chair and have some quiet time.
Second, the Wellkids Nursery: This room is for ages 0-4. There are two qualified volunteers, one adult and one youth, staffing the nursery at all times. We also have a live audio feed from the ‘sanctuary’ available in this room.
Third, the Wellkids 5+ room: For ages 5-8 (but if you’re child is 4 and WANTS to come, come!)... There are two qualified adult volunteers staffing the Wellkids 5+ room at all times. There are carpets, toys, crafts, and activities. Here, the older Wellkids will be given free time to develop relationships and follow curriculum. The curriculum for Wellkids is directly related to the current sermon series and is written by a professional children's educator, often including a visit to the playground in the summertime.
Fourth, the Kidspace: Refers to the carpets on the left of the 'sanctuary.' Here there is always something to color, a toy to play with, or new comic book to read. Kids are welcome to gather here before their Wellkids time or stay here throughout the service.
If a child is eight years or older we encourage them to stay with their parents in the 'sanctuary'. They'll listen to the preaching, color, or read books. The idea here is that they begin to experience God’s presence. When God begins 'doing things' in response to the preaching or the worship, the kids will 'feel it' and that, is the most important part of their learning at The Well.
And here’s a rough breakdown of what a typical day at Wellkids looks like...
10:25 AM Sign the sign-in sheet for your kids
10:30-10:45AM First worship set in the 'Sanctuary' & Wellkids time with the Pastor at Kidspace carpets
10:45 - 11:00AM All Wellkids exit to Wellkids 5+ room for Music, Skits, or BREAKS to SERVE
11:00-11:45 AM Wellkids time
11:45 AM Guardians sign out Wellkids & bring them in the 'Sanctuary'
11:45-12:00 AM Communion & Second worship set
